GRAND VIEW TERRACE WATER COMPANY -
UTILITY ENGINEER

This project entails assisting this small utility with regulatory compliance as well as operations and maintenance issues, state and federal funding and water rights. Currently we are awaiting the outcome of a grant application through the State of Nevada for engineering and planning services (approximately $180,000) to study and design improvements to the existing system to comply with the current fire flow requirements as well as other water quality issues.

If this grant is approved by the State, then an application for an additional Federal grant will be made for construction dollars after the studies are completed.

CITY OF FALLON - ARSENIC REMOVAL - 1999-2000

This project entailed consulting with the City of Fallon regarding regulatory compliance and treatability issues regarding arsenic removal. Particularly, the City’s water has not met the arsenic drinking water standard since the standard was adopted in the 1960’s and the Federal EPA was applying pressure to have the City bring their water into compliance before the new standard was adopted.
